Why can I have only one Identity column for a table in SQL SERVER
I tried at many sites but didn't get the perfect answer,
Can any one give me the actual reason for that restriction please

Good question. I don't know the answer but since 2012 you can use sequences[^] to overcome the limitation.

It never explained by Microsoft, but I believe it is because identity bounded to scope and a table has only one scope...

Pardon me but how does this answer the question? The text doesn't even state that you may have only one identity per table.
