When a company says that they need help with integration solution, what does it mean?

Is it about Biztalk, SSIS, BI solution, SQL, xml or something else?

It can be any technology, but at the bottom line it means that they want two applications/systems to talk one with the other, probably using existing endpoint (so no rewrite of the applications/systems necessary)...

Maybe you should ask them. But if you are planning on applying for a job then you may need to word your question carefully.

Ask them.
Situation: What do they have? Let them explain the current setup.
Problem: What exactly is the problem with that setup? Let them explain it.
Implication: What follows from these problems? Let them explain it.
Need/Payoff: What would solve the problem/Implication? Let them explain it.

This is basically the SPIN(r) Selling approach: Ask questions to let the prospective customer tell you what he needs - ideally he tells you he needs your service/product. Stay as long as possible on the S-P-I levels until he tells you he needs you/your service/your product - or to find out that there is no match between you/your service/your product and his needs.
Cheers
Andi
PS: SPIN(r) Selling is about selling. But it proved to be very valuable to me also to "sell" technical solutions internally. Convincing (internal) stakeholders is also "selling": they invest a considerable amount of money into some solution...

It can be anything. Please ask them, not us.

As mentioned numerous times in the comments, it could be anything. Integration simply means communication somehow between systems. But you certainly need to get more details before committing to anything.
