how increse gridview perforamce load data

Hello ,

the data is less than 20 rows,
then it takes about 10 seconds to load data. If the data is about 500 rows,
then it takes about 3mins to load the data .and i am using paging for 50 pages
but it will load 3min take when i serach by name
and i am using store procudures
I am wondering why takes 2 mins to load just 500 rows in the grid.
I am in bad shap with the performance of this grid.
Please getback to me asap.

plz tell how to reduce time to load data in the gridview

what does your query look like ? I'd be talking to your DBA to see if the query results in a 'full table' scan - then check the indexes on the table and see if there's a matching index for the search keys used by your query (I'm guessing 'Not')

If there's no index(es), get the DBA to create appropriate ones (or perms to do it yourself)

then you'd better figure out if the table has indexes on it or not yourself
