Format String in Table Cell of Report

Hi, may i ask that why every time i format a string on a value in table cell, it would ignore my command and did not display the string as i wanted. For example, i have a value which is in the following format : 17/06/2014. But every time i click on the "Format String" button and select the format i want(i even custom my ow format) but when display, it would display as 17/06/2014 00:00:00 which is not i wanted. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Solution 2

inside the stored procedure change the following:

CONVERT(VARCHAR(10), STARTDATE, 103)

whereas 103 is for the format dd/MM/yyyy
