You should use the programming language that you know better, and if you just want to start learning one I am suggesting to choose C# or Python and not C++ or C.

I think what really matters is what you feel most comfortable in, and understand more. Not what anyone else says. There is no "better" language. I would probably go with C, but that's just because I am more comfortable in it, and I understand it more.
