Your book probably came with CD and/or perhaps it has reference to the web site where should install examples from. If you have CD you should install whatever it contains, I'm sure it will install samples to the proper folder.

The book probably comes with a CD or somewhere you can go on the MS site and download the code examples. You will need to install this before you can use the code examples referenced in the book.

Usually the book has a page that tells you were to get it if it was not provided on CD. These examples do not come with Visual Studio by themselves.

Then there really isn't anything you can do. If you downloaded it from a site where you paid for it, contact them to get the code supplement. If you downloaded it without paying for it, then you get what you pay for.

You can download all the code samples for the book; they are freely distributed by O'Reilly who publishes this series for MS Press: [^].
