Hai friends,


I have date column in excel file that contains dates in the format "10/11/2013 17:29". I have to convert the above format into dd (ie)only date.How can I do this.Please help me.

not sure I understand your problem

Excel has a formula/function for this - go to the cell you want the (dd) in and type

=DAY(D3)

where D3 is the cell with your long date in

Is that what you were looking for ?

It is not converting into dd
Here you go.

1. Right click on the selected cell.
2. You will find Format Cells... in that.
3. Click on the Format Cells and then select Custom Category from the Number tab and type format you want in window.
if you want only dd then type as dd or any other format finally click on ok button.

THANKS.SUPPOSE IF WE WANT TO USE IN CSV FORMAT HOW IT CAN BE POSSIBLE

I am not sure about .csv format. You try saving the file into .csv format.
