Pls I am trying to instal apache server for web development purposes but right now d installer is asking for my "Network domain(e.g. somenet.com) " and my "Server Name (e.g. www.somenet.com).I intend to use it on my stand alone for personal web develoment only I.e. just to test websites dt I develop.I am not part of any network and I do not have a server no server name.What do I do?

If you want to use Apache for the development on the same host, use "localhost", address the service with "http://localhost". Use IP address for use from other machines on the LAN. One other options is to install your own local DNS service (or your own DHCP and DNS server).

Use the IP address of localhost. I believe Apache comes by default pointing to that address, you can change it in the http.conf file which is plain text. Mt personal recommendation is that you re-install the program, during the setup if should ask for the domain and server name.
