So I just bought a 1TB WD Passport external and I run my business from my house. It came with pretty nice backup software, but recently bough NOVABACKUP.. I'm really concerned with the drive failing if I use it to back up a lot.

Am I being overly cautious, or should I have redundant backup for my backups?

What do you do?

Thoughts?

You have chosen the wrong forum or website.

The solution 1 is right. You can do Incremental Backup or Differential Backup.
I used AOMEI Backupper instead of NOVABACKUP.It is only a matter of different personal taste.I think Backupper can compress files better.
Good luck

You can never have too much backup if your data is important to you, so get another hard drive as soon as possible.
