In the end I am monitoring an FTP site and want to give my worker the ability to "download" a given FTP file once navigated to. It will always be a 4GB + .zip file and I always want to download the whole thing. Given I know all the parameters I was hoping for now I could invoke your system to do the file transfer that I could immediately benefit from the multi-thread/multi-segment behavior. I am however running into brick wall after brickwall in my own efforts. I feel I have gotten close, and once I even saw it all run behind the scenes but MyDownloader was internally throwing errors and the status never changed from "reconnecting. .. . . " ...

Can I bargin 5 minutes of your life to send me in a direction perhaps?

Thank you, -James

Don't post this under Quick Answers - if you got the code from an article, then there is a "new message" button at the bottom of that article, which causes an email to be sent to the author. They are then alerted that you wish to speak to them.
Posting this here relies on them "dropping by" and realising it is for them.
