how to show intellisense in dropdown

See more:

eg: if i type letter 's' in dropdownlist ,i shud be able to see all the words starting with 's'
how to do this? whether i hav to use state management or write a query & bind data to dropdownlist

Search for "autocomplete". Plenty of examples, tutorial, questions and answers describing that very thing.

You can use Jquery Autocomplete for that it is simple to underderstand and implement.
