Is it possible to have a windows form application and let it run on a web application?

The answer is going to greatly depend on what it is that you mean by "let it run on a web application". If it means what I think it means, then no. Unless you want an application that runs on the server without any user intervention.

Generally no, however take a look at this : Converting WinForms => Web Forms using CodeDom[^]

My 5 for referencing this presumably pretty tricky article. Still, I think that the first part of your answer ("generally, no") is much stronger compared to tentative suggestion of using this tricky technique. And I would not trust the quality final result much.

People don't like to hear "no", and in our industry **anything** is possible given enough time and effort, but it is out of the reach of most of us.
