image processing for compare a sketch and images

friends,i want to compare a sketch(face) and images(face).
system is like this,
we have sketch and we have several images in database but i need to get 80% matching images for output result.

80% matching? I would suggest, if you achieve at least some percent of correct match distinctly above the probability of random coincidence, to call it a revolution.

Hi there,
Are you familiar with any image processing technique, or you are just asking generally,
if you want to preform face recognition, there is more that one way which you can use and will get you the result you are looking for,

this is really a big subject to be asked this way, if you are beginner in this feild and wants to learn, try EMGUCV and AFORGE.NET these are 2 computer vision libs, that works with .net apps.
