I installed Classic shell on my Win 7 64-bit machine. When I click start>settings>control panel, control panel opens, but the control panel icon in the menu stays on my desktop flashing. I clicked on network connections and Printers and now they are flashing on my desktop as well.

I had the similar problem but it was related with the control box on the window. Whenever I click minimize it flashed, then I clicked the close button, the close button started flashing, same with the maximize button. To get rid of it I pressed the Show Desktop shortcut (Windows Logo + D). And boom!, it worked.

This happened when I tried to snap the windows on the side of the screen. I think the problem is caused by the new Win7 UI... who know If its a bug.
