Hi Everyone,

Am using Visual Studio 2012. I am facing an issue with PORT number. When I set the port number with the option Specific Port to '49861' and tries to run am getting an error saying "Unable to launch the Visual Studio Development Server because port '49861' is in use. ".

I have googled a lot on this but nothing resolved my problem.

I even listed out the processes(to find out which process is using) with the help of netstat command but still it did not work out.

Could you please help me with your valuable inputs in resolving this issue.

Thanks in Advance
Yashwanth.

Port number for what? Why not using some other port?

Good one..
Thanks a lot Code-Hunt... :)
open the task manager and go to the Processes tab. Look for a process named WebDev.WebServer and end the process. Do this for each WebServer process that you see.
