An example of a function pointer and its initialization is:

typedef void (CALLBACK* THREADPOOLCALLBACK)(PVOID);  // function pointer

void CALLBACK foo(PVOID param)  // function
{
  // ...
}

THREADPOOLCALLBACK tpc = foo;
