How can I enable and disable a USB slot

Hi

I am doing a project for school where I need to start a microcontroller from a program on my pc. The microcontroller requires only that the usb is turned from low to high and then back to low for the program to start exeuting.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

What kind of MCU?
In general, for this kind of thing, it gets turned off by unplugging, and turned on by plugging in, the USB cable.
It probably sounds like I'm, hassling you, but it is how I do it for my PICs.
