Rewrite URL stop working when moving to IIS 7.5

Hello,

I am running a web project on IIS 7.5 and the rewrite url stopped working. In IIS 6 everything is working perfectly. only with IIS 7.5 it tells me that the page not found (error 404).

i used rewrite url net dll file.

mscaptcha.dll image also not showing.

please help me.

i am tired but did not get solution.

Solution 1

As per above description it showing Rewrite extensions not mapped in MIME type.Register MIME type in IIS because 404 stands for Resource not found so it seems IIS not able to understand extension you are passing .Check if you are using handlers for URL rewriting than register them as well.

i solved this problem....:)

there is problem in iis 7.5 setting.

go to application pool which i used for site & then right click on that app pool go to basic setting & selected pipeline mode integrated to classic. mscaptcha & rewrite url both problem resolved.

happy....
