If i query and decode the following registry its giving bbbbb-bbbbb-bbbbb-bbbbb-bbbbb


SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\DigitalProductID


how to get correct product id?

But its working in windows xp ..

DigitalProductID is a binary value (use regedit to see what it looks like) and needs to be decoded. Try searching Google for some suggestions as to how to do it.

i already denoted i decoded, its working for some windows 7 machine. so machine its not working..

Without more information it's anyone's guess.

Some machines do not have a product key installed, such as volume Licensed machines (enterprise environments). In such cases the product key is stored as bbbbb-bbbbb-bbbbb-bbbbb-bbbbb. There's no problem with your code. You also mentioned that it works in some machines. Those machines must be retail versions of windows right??

Same version amitosh. and one more thing we can read MS key ah?
Is it right.? Any where they(Microsoft people) mentioned is wrong like that .

Microsoft didn't mention it anywhere... it's just collection of unofficial things. Google for Produkey, it's a good product key checker... I found this description in their notes
