I cant access the client side printer name through vb.net coding.

how can we access it throug javascript .

I many forums, I have seen that wshell.shell activex is used,but I cant

download this activex and also I dont know,how effective it is.

What exactly you want to do ?
Printer will be detected automatically.

It's not really possible without using active-x and that to with proper browser permissions. JavaScript runs in a sandbox and browsers do not permit access to local resources for security reasons.
