In this free software you can see 8 independent buttons . Each time a user clicks on a button (unit category) both listboxes present some specific collection items ( for example when clicking weight, the listbox collection items present grams,kg,tons etc in both listboxes) Please if someone knows how can this be done, help me. I am an absolute begginer so please provide some clear code or a step-be-step solution. Ive created some code and user interface if someone wants to check.(Also, how can he make the measurements without a trigger button? Is this miracle called xml?)

First of all that is not code. That is an HTML link to a download. Secondly if you are looking for someone to teach you how to program, this is not the correct forum. Get yourself a book or find yourself some tutorials. You might even *gasp* take some classes at your local college or university.

First of all the term code goes for the the program in the link.Secondly, this link does not make you download the program but just to see the interface of a free source program that is similar to mine. I think i do not break the rules of the forum when asking for help considering coding unless it is written somewhere in the Terms of Use. So if you cannot/dont want to provide help you better ignore this post.. I know what to do if i decide to study programming but this is irrelevant to my question. So again if someone knows what am i asking please provide a solution

First of all you did not ask for any help with code. You asked for someone to teach you how to code an application. Big difference. If you had bothered to read the posting guidelines, you would have known that. "I better ignore".... or what? Who are to tell me what I can and cannot do? You obviously do not know what to do to study programming since you came here and posted a request for someone to tutor you.... A solution to what exactly? You did not post any code that you have written, stated any kind of a problem that you was having with the code that you have written or asked any kind of answerable question about any code that you have written.

Who are to tell me if this is the correct forum or not when there is no such a rule in Terms of Use? If that's the problem you could have asked me to provide some code..Thank god internet is full of material but this is not enough for someone who is amateur. You said my link was to download when its not, its only for someone to see plus its free. I don't look for a tutor, i need someone that has done this before and can provide some help in the connection of button and list-boxes. >> http://imageshack.us/a/img822/4963/image1rqc.jpg <<
Its obvious you don't want to share your knowledge so why are we still have this conversation?

Here are the terms of use that you may have missed when you posted your question:
A few simple rules when posting your question.

Have you searched or Googled for a solution?

Be specific! Don't ask "I need to write a booking application". Specify exactly what it is you need help with.

Keep the subject brief but descriptive. eg "How do I change the dialog colour?"

Keep the question as concise as possible. If you have to include code, include the smallest snippet of code you can - do not dump your entire codebase.

Tag your question appropriately.

Your question may be edited or retagged by others. Anything inappropriate will be removed.

If you have a school or university assignment, assume that your teacher or lecturer is also reading these forums.

1 solution

"Do you want the source code of this app? just Follow me by email and I'll send it to you." taken from the bottom of the article.

This guy is selling his code unfortunately...I have already contacted with him and said that he forgot the footer saying the code is free. My program is similar to this and its my first attempt to program. I would like to connect these Unit Type buttons with the 2 listboxes and after this create a trigger button to make the calculations. I ve watched many tutorials but didn't find this. I believe most beginners find it difficult to create their first program so i cannot understand why it is bad that im asking. I dont ask for a program solution from ashes, i already have studied and made some progress and all that am asking is how to proceed in this point. Thanks for your time
