Hi coders! I am trying to develop a drawing board online where people all over the world can draw and do what they want, but I want that content to stay there and be visible for everyone else EVEN after refreshing the page. These would be drawings done by users with a profile and login info stored in a database. So I was thinking that obviously there needs to be a SessionStart() but im just not sure how to save that drawing for the creator of it to later edit/remove it.

Any help would be much appreciated.. Below is the drawing file code that you might require. Thank You! :)

What I have tried:

<html>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var canvas, ctx, flag = false,
        prevX = 0,
        currX = 0,
        prevY = 0,
        currY = 0,
        dot_flag = false;

    var x = "black",
        y = 2;

    function init() {
        canvas = document.getElementById('can');
        ctx = canvas.getContext("2d");
        w = canvas.width;
        h = canvas.height;

        canvas.addEventListener("mousemove", function (e) {
            findxy('move', e)
        }, false);
        canvas.addEventListener("mousedown", function (e) {
            findxy('down', e)
        }, false);
        canvas.addEventListener("mouseup", function (e) {
            findxy('up', e)
        }, false);
        canvas.addEventListener("mouseout", function (e) {
            findxy('out', e)
        }, false);
    }

    function color(obj) {
        switch (obj.id) {
            case "green":
                x = "green";
                break;
            case "blue":
                x = "blue";
                break;
            case "red":
                x = "red";
                break;
            case "yellow":
                x = "yellow";
                break;
            case "orange":

                x = "white";
                break;
        }
        if (x == "white") y = 14;
        else y = 2;

    }

    function draw() {

Best way is to save the canvas (not sure as what / maybe image?) to a folder, save the path in your database.

When a user refreshes a page, check if canvas exist, if so show the canvas else load a new canvas for user to create.
