You haven't seen any documentation for System.Windows.Forms.Form.TransparencyKey? Seems like a real simple method of getting a transparent box. Your control seems interesting because opacity seems to affect the whole form and the key makes the background totally transparent. It looks like it would allow you to control the opacity for one control.

What on earth is this ? It comes from out of no-where, is it supposed to be a comment on an article ? Perhaps the author has not noticed the transparency key property, but then, you seem to have not noticed the forum provided under an article, or understood the most basic premise on which this site is built, that is, that lots of people from over the world contribute, the site does not belong to one central person, or group of people.

Sorry, I haven't used codeproject much. I thought I was asking a question for the author of article AlphaBlendTextBox - A transparent/translucent textbox for .NET[^] (Author said he couldn't find a way of making a transparent TextBox.) I went into his profile and hit ask a question. I didn't think I would be posting this to the whole world.
