Reports - hide a column manually via DataSet wont work

Could someone help me with this problem: I've created a report engine and I want to be able to hide specific columns thru personal settings, I do not want to create several report for each users.

I have create a solution but, it's not working.

It is two projects, one web and one winform.

I want to have the same look and feel on both.

Solution 1

I think you need to alter the rdlc file to hide the column based on data that you pass in (maybe use parameters), instead of trying to just with hold the data for that column. If the report is expecting a column of data, you have to pass it.
