hex file to convert source file

dear sir,
my name is danish i am from pakistan karachi,. well, i build hex file for flashing 44 led 3 mode here, but engineer forgot give me source file,. so i wanna change speed, of flashing, i dont know how can i oprate. MPLAB IDE. V8.40,. so let me tell sir, my problem i am really awiting,, to your good reply for me thanks. regards. from danish.

I don't think this is possible. The hex file could have been built from any language and it is unlikely that it contains enough information to allow you to convert it back to source.

Solution 2

You may use a disassembler to obtain the assembly source code, modify it and the assemble it again.
Unfortunately it looks like MPLAB doesn't provide a disassembler tool.
