I've had experience in both VB.Net and C# and I consider C# to be the superior language (although that is an ongoing war between the two sides). I'd say just look at some job boards (CodeProject Job Board, Monster, etc.) and see what jobs you're interested in, then check which language they expect. If C#, then just stick to your guns. If VB.Net and you have time, you might want to dabble in that a bit. The great thing is that the .Net Framework is the same with both of them, so you'll pretty much just have to learn the few language differences. It never hurts to have an extra language under your belt, but don't let that hold you back.

My opinion would also be to stick with C# as VB.net would not leverage your skills in any way (my personal opinion and I do not state that this is indeed a generalised fact).

I've been programming for 6 years in C# and VB.net and I always prefer doing C# over VB.net, C# just feels more natural and the syntax is spot on where VB just does not feel right.

But at the end of the day,the more languages you know the better, but I would not more money to get certification for VB.net....C# is all you need.If you do have some spare time and want to start doing VB.net then go for it.
