Hi all

I am trying to learn chart control of asp.net.
I came to know that the chart control came in .net 4.0.

Before that how people are building charts??

Before Asp.Net 4.0 what control are using to build charts in the form ??

And Please suggest me some good website to learn chart control and give some brief history on chart
(Means
-why that control added to the 4.0 version??
-Before the control released which controls are used to build chart??
-Is there any way to build charts ??

MS Chart control can be used in .NET 3.5 also. Microsoft Chart Controls for Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5[^]
Before this chart control you had to use a 3rd party component like ComponentOne, Telerik, DevExpress etc.
You can build charts manually using either javascript, flash, imaging etc, but I don't see the point reinventing the wheel. It's a lot of good components out there and the MS chart control will covor most basic needs :)
