Opening image files located on an external hdd connected to the server computer

hi there.i ve got an external hdd drive connected to the server computer.i need to fetch the related files located on the external hdd drive and browse them the client computer.how can i get access to those files and open them using windows photo gallery?thx in advance

Can you simply share the HDD on the server side and then connect to that share from the client?

Conceptually, there is no difference between external and internal HDD. Did you manage to make some file system objects on a previously existing drive accessible? With external drive, everything is exactly the same. What exactly — you did not share how you use used.
