RMS (Record Management Store)

Hi I am new with j2me and Eclipse ME 1.8 actually I have written my mobile application which use RMS (Record Management Store) as back end database but issue is that when I uninstall or delete the application from mobile then it will delete the back-end (RMS) database also but according to application more UI I wish to remain the database same mean no deletion is required now how I can resolve the problem pl help me in this regards

I would suspect that is a device specific question.

However what exactly do intend to do with the data if the app that uses it no longer exists?

Regardless it might be possible to copy the data files from the expected location to some other location before removing the app. Naturally the other location would need to be somewhere that doesn't get deleted when the app is removed.
