dynamic ordering of datatable column from user interface using javascript

Hi,
I have a datatable that is to be exported to an excel. But the requirement is that the user should be able to set the order of the column from UI using a dropdown just like in case of a "view" of a list in MOSS 2007, where user can select the column and then choose the ordering using a dropdown.

Please suggest some fix for this.

hi,
Instead of java script use the server side code to do that.

In code when you export to excel at that time take one table and copy the your columns on that table as user want
