Unlock windows phone 7

Hi All,

How can I unlock my Windows Phone 7 ? I need to install my own application on it. I have a developer account too. But still struggling to unlock the phone....

Solution 1

First, to be clear, it's a dev unlock, not a carrier unlock (just ran into someone who was confused over that).

Use the Windows Phone Developer Registration tool that comes with the SDK. If you have Win 7, just type in "Developer" after pressing the windows key and you should see it.

Next, you'll need to launch zune, plug in your phone and then get VS going. You should be able to deploy at that point.

Yes, use the application deployment tool that came with the SDK. Again, in Win 7 just hit the windows key and type Deployment and you should see it. that will allow you to push a xap file. Cheers!
