Hi everyone,

I just need a little help about what type of project I should chose for my T.Y (I.T) final project.

It is for 200 marks and I have to submit it tomorrow.
I'm thinking of making a web application but I don't know what type of application comes under web application.

Our college has disallowed us to make any management type of projects (e.g airline management, hospital management etc).

So if anyone can give me insight to what project to make and some examples as I have just started learning VB & ADV java.

& i just need to submit project title not the entire project.complete project will be submitted on april 2012 so i have complete 1 year to work on ...
thank you

I think you've left it a bit late!

Final? 24 hours? You screw it, admit it.

You certainly need to express more clearly... 24 hours and 1 year is pretty big difference :-)
Good luck,

Try in Google with "java academic projects" as keyword. lot of sites available to give source code also. Select any one topic(According to your knowledge level) work on it.

BTW: I am assumed Java is suitable technology for your project.

If you know a bit about parsing, try to write a simple compiler.

Well, it's your project. You should have sat down weeks ago and thought about a topic that suits you. How could anybody suggest you what to do? We do not know about your level of skills, your interests, your likes and dislikes...
It's your final project after all, not ours. Since the planning phase is a crucial part of a project, I'd say you are screwed.

I think this is the only "correct answer", so to speak, my 5.

You have 24 hours to submit something, and it is unlikely you will get anything of any complexity and fully debugged in that time, so go for something that shows a range of processes, even if it is not completed.
It will show that you have been listening, learning and understanding.

You will find that using multiple techniques will garner you many points, even if it is not completed.

Talk to your tutor - if you have to submit your project description tomorrow then you may have left it a bit late: your tutor may have some ideas as to what they will accept.
If you have to submit the whole project tomorrow then you have definitely left it too late: time to learn the Magic Words as you will need them in your new career "Would you like fries with that?"
