Build an app that scrapes .00001 cent off every stock exchange trade.

1: If you don't know by now what to do...
2: We're not here to help with homework.
3: Speak to your tutor.

I am a freshman, doing software engineering.

I'm sure once you "get an idea", you'll be plagiarizing, as opposed to "enginieering".

I have my end semester Project coming up

Let's see, it's pretty close to the end of the semester, I'm betting four weeks or, and you just realized that you haven't completed a school assignment that you need to pass the course.

I want to do something unique

If you can't post it on youtube, you probably shouldn't do it.

Can anyone please give me some nice ideas??

You could solve that pesky "world peace" problem.

(please don't tell me about databases,or a tetris game).

Why not? There should be plenty of examples of that kind of thing on the web that you can copy from.

Need them in two to three days...

Don't tell me... Your minor is computer programming, but you're majoring in business administration. Only a manager would ask a programmer for something and expect it in "two or three days".

Serious (this is me helping you):

0) An emergency on your part doesn't necessarily indicate an urgency on my part.

1) This is homework. We don't do people's homework for them. Part of learning how to be a programmer is being given a vague and ambiguous task, and being able to design and implement a solution. Asking other people to come up with ideas for you doesn't exercse YOUR brain.

Keep it simple, choose something you are passionate about, if you are good at anything start with that to create a program that compliments your skills. And do not forget, keep it simple so that you can finish it.
