I'm going to start working on Silverlight in order to simulate some events in Mechanics and Physics. Is Silverlight useful to be used or not?
Please help me by your advice.

A general simple answer would be 'YES'. But your question is kind of incomplete and needs more detail added to it such that one can suggest on the same.

I don't see why not. All of the same math methods are available that you would have access to in a winforms app. The only thing you have to do differently is the visualization stuff.
