Alternatively you can use barcode fonts. Just write the text in number, it will display as barcode. Easy way.

Which barcode standard you are using. Here is a link for code 39 font http://www.barcodesinc.com/free-barcode-font/[^] and here is a link for code 128 http://freebarcodefonts.dobsonsw.com/code128font-download.html[^].

Verify these fonts before using it. Write the sku, display it in barcode using these fonts. Using a barcode scanner you must need to get your sku back.
