Designing master page using asp.net

Sir , I am using asp.net 3.5 with c#

I am desigining the master page but I am not getting the space between left content and the body main content.

I want the space between body and footer but not getting this, can you?
See my Design below, please give ne example which helps me

Create a div, put it in the CSS file so you can call it on all pages.

I Want small gap here
Just put a div or a table row of fixed height: say 10px.
