I have two files (1) Access (2) Excel in both there are many records available. There are more than 50000 and I want to find out how many new records are not available in Access which are in Excel. both files structure are not the same. There is just one identical column in both files.

It's urgent plz.

Thanks in advance! :)

If it were really urgent you would have shown the structure of both files, i.e. all the column names for the table in your Access DB and all the column names of your Excel. How are we supposed to help you if you don't leave any usefull information whatsoever. "It's urgent plz" can definitely not be considered usefull information. Thank you!

How do you expect anyone to be able to help when you specifically tell them that the two are different, but do not tell us what they have in common?
It is like writing a shopping list for "supper" and being surprised when I come back with steak and potatoes instead of salmon and rice.

@OriginalGriff: Steaks and potatoes for supper will be fine with me. :)

Griff, I like both. So when should I be there. (I'll bring the wife and wine)

1 solution

import the excel data and run an outer join query

Access Outer join query[^]
