Hi I am unable to remove readonly property from a folder. I have already done attrib -r +s foler_path from the command line, but it was not helpful for me. The folders still maintain the same readonly state. am using the WINDOWS2003 SERVER. Can anybody tell me another way to go about solving this problem.
Once I change that option it will change back to readonly automatically.

Can anyone help me solve this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Could it be that the readonly attribute is inherited from a folder above the one you're trying to change?

Just a wild guess! :)

The user account you're trying to do this with may have insufficient rights. What account were you logged on with?

Good answer, Manfred.
@ramuksasi: You may not be able to change these attributes permanently without admin privileges, even if the user account making the change is the owner of the folder.
