Not able to use IIS 6

Hi,

I want to host an asp 3.0 website using iis.
I have installed iis6 from internet and the iis 6 manager but when I open it it shows a red cross on the website folder and in status it shows Service not started.

I am attaching a screenshot , please help

Solution 1

The screen shot of IIS admin says it all. "Service Stopped" means
that IIS service is currently not running. Goto the control panel
select "Administrative Tasks" (not sure of the wording). There you'll
open "Services" and look for the entry "WWW - Publishing". The service
WWW - Publishing has to be started.
