Sql database not initializing???

SQL-Server-2005

I was making a project(any in general) in visual studio 2008 in sql server 2005, but when i tried to add an service based database i.e. .mdf file, it showed me the following error message:

Failed to generate a user instance of SQL Server due to failure in starting the process for the instance. The connection will be closed.

thanx in advance, all efforts would be respected...
