Which language would be good for this program?

I want to make a program, that has small pictures in it, like six of them vertically and when I click any of them, a timer pops up to the right to them, and starts counting down til 0. When 0 maybe some sound plays. What language would be good for something like this?

What I have tried:

I thought about Javascript, or something like that, but I really don't know.

Any language together with a graphical framework supporting that language.

But it is narrowed down by the operating system to be used or supported, or if you want it to be executed by a web browser. For the latter case it would be probably JavaScript.

The only suggestion for such questions is to prefer a language you know already if you don't intend to use the project to learn a new one.
