every time i right Val functions or declaration variables i get errors i have tried alot of things and i am new to coding.... please help

What I have tried:

i did not find anything on the internet for that problem looks like i am the only one

Since you've provided no code samples of what you're having a problem with nor any of the error messages, it's pretty much impossible to tell you what you're doing wrong.

Why have you tagged this as C# if it's VB that you are using?

If your VB is VB.net, you need a reference to Microsoft.VisualBasic

And if you use comma as decimal separator, Val() does'nt handle (at least in VB6-VBA) comma as decimal separator. In this case, Cbdl() is a better choice
