C# Control drawing visibility & overflow

Morning, evening, afternoon.

I'm working on a control and stumbled upon a little problem.

How can I detect if a draw action will falls outside of the clip area?
For if the DrawString command reaches beyond the Rectangle, I have to shorten it with a "..." at the 'end'.
