Windows Forms + Custom Images

Hello all,
I'm looking to use a custom image instead of the typical "battleship gray" of Windows Forms for the main window of my desktop application. Does anyone have any recommendations on creating an image that looks 3-dimensional and can be used like that? There are so many products from Adobe and Microsoft and everywhere else it's hard to know where to begin.

Solution 1

So long as the product that you use will output to an image format compatible with the .NET Image class (look it up on MSDN for a complete list), it doesn't really matter.
