Paint MFC control into my CDC

I'm trying to create some class. It will be a list of many CRichEditCtrl classes. I can't use the only one RichEdit because list will a virtual and there will be a lot of items to display in RichEdits (messages). So to accomplish it, I need (I think that I need ) to paint RichEdits into memory DC at least to calculate the size for a list item. Or maybe there is another way to do that?

I found some very close - Using Windowless RichEdit Controls. Any ideas how to do a virtual list of richedits?
