Why would you search for the easiest?

You may as well ask what is the easiest between driving a car and a motorbike.
It all depends on your knowledge and ability. But this is really not a question for a programming forum.

It is definitely a question for a programming forum, where else would you ask such a question?
However, it might not belong here in the Quick Answers question.

I disagree, it has nothing to do with programming, and the answer would be the same whatever field the questioner wishes to work in.

Well, everyone has the right to their own opinion.
I agree that the question may not be well formulated, but what forum would you suggest? Crochet?
If someone is new to a subject and know absolutely nothing then he/she needs better advice than your answer.

Indeed, everyone has the right to their own opinion, and it seems at least two people agree with mine. But since you declined to post an answer we don't really know what yours is.

I didn't post an answer as mine would be similar to Solution 2.
So now you know.
Windows apps are probably easier as the controls are richer and you just need to get your head around threads, whereas with web sites you rarely need to know about threads but you need to get your head around state management, standards, protocols, a server language plus client languages plus mark-up languages etc etc.

In addition to existing answer, it also depends a lot on which framework the application is built. To start a WinForms application almost no training is required.

Local application are easier to debug because of Edit and Continue.

It also depends a lot on the requirements. If you do an internal applications, you might have more flexibility that an application intended to be sold.

Also if you work in a large existing application, it might be much more difficult than in a new application.

In addition to previous answers, console applications are the easiest for beginners.

Console applications have:
- No fancy graphics
- No forms
- No mouse
- Just linear display and keyboard
- all the app is sequential

The question suggests that you are looking the something easier. Is so, I have a good suggestion for you: quite the profession immediately, to avoid major frustration in near future. Real software engineers you looking for the best, not for the easiest.

I would suggest you to watch some video tutorials on different topics related to web and windows programming.

While watching you can develop a practical thought process and make up your mind which is the best suitable for you. Also, at the same time, you can build the projects while watching the videos and get your hands dirty.

Saying all these, I agree to what Sergey told that real software engineers choose the best not the easiest. Because it will give you challenges. But what is the easiest and what is the best depends upon your perception.
