Using Linux Mint with FireFox 78.0.2...
When I post a message in the Lounge, either a new one, or a reply in an existing thread, I get what looks like a menu with a transparent background overlaying the page. If I scroll all the way to the top of the page, it disappears, and all is right with the world.
This does not happen in this forum, only in the Lounge (so far)...
EDIT - the offending menu appears to be the "Discussions" menu. And it also shows up when I just go to the Lounge page.

If you scroll to the top and then back down does it snap back into place?
If so I know what it is and it'll be fixed soonish

I didn’t get the artifact. The side menu disappeared. Scrolling to the top fixed it

Yes. When I scroll back to the top of the page, it goes back to normal. And I'm still seeing it (in case you're wondering).

Yeah - it's a known Firefox issue. Well, Firefox-not-liking-our-CSS which we're fixing with all new CSS

This is why I abhor web dev. Browser engine devs interpret the standards differently(maybe the standards aren't written specifically enough).

It's worse than that: browser devs intepret the standards and then change their interpretation.
The only standard that currently makes sense is whatever Blink does. Blink is a fork of WebKit so Safari is close to Chrome, and Microsoft Edge has thrown in the towel and followed Google, so it's basically Blink or Gecko (the Mozilla render engine), which in practice means "whatever Google does".
So yeah: Firefox doesn't like our CSS. We'll fix it, but we (sadly) consider it a non-critical issue at this point. We'll fix it, but we have to be focused on the masses

And all this time I thought CP revolved around my happiness... I'm stunned that's not the case...

SVG is not supported format to upload so I took a pic (as png) and did it. Apologies for any confusion.
So, do we have some small icon (of bob?) or other? Something similar to what I shared can be made out of it. Image I shared is a SVG of stackoverflow.

We are investigating something that has suddenly increase load on the SQL Server just about the time you had issues.
Despite the extra load, everything seems to be running fine otherwise.
Hopefully, whatever happened is transient.

Who's Who at CodeProject[^] has a sorting problem that appears to be far more than transient. Five on that page are way out of sequence.

This is the same issue that Nelek has pointed out below.

It looks like the message counter (the little red box before rep) doesn't stay in sync with the messages. I'm seeing a new message in the list when I hover over it but the counter hasn't changed.
EDIT
The counter was incremented something like 5 minutes later so there seems to be a delay.

That counter is cached for 5 mins. It should be an easy fix to get that real time.
