CodeProject user accounts on the open!!!

Well, not quite. These are all fake accounts that have been created.

But you can login with them...May the hamsters should kick them out...

Yes you can, but they are fake accounts. To be honest, I don't see what they are bringing to the table as it's just as easy for you to create an account.

I suppose those accounts are for those who want to download files and don't want to create an account and go through a registration process (I don't know if you still have to be logged in to download files but this was the reason why I originally signed up)

Hi,
Was told to mention this here I did a Yahoo search (by mistake I was aiming for Google) and the following link came up http://codeproject.eu/[^]
Which I am pretty sure infringes on something hereabouts.

Interesting question indeed : Is it a copyright infringement to use a domain codeproject."something" ? Did you register every subdomain ? Probably not, because otherwise the names would not be available for other to use.

I think there is issue with the word Codeproject. I don't know much about such legal issues but i think we have ® in the Logo thats why others can not use them.

I just got a downvote on this massage - http://www.codeproject.com/Lounge.aspx?msg=4906070#xx4906070xx[^]
As it impossible to downvote in the Lounge via UI, I think it related to the fact that someone reported my post as abusive...
It is by design?

This is how reporting works in the forums: A spam/abuse report triggers a downvote and increments the "abuse" points on that post. When it hits the threshold the message is removed.

It wasn't that way - in the Lounge at least... I got some abusive reports on this http://www.codeproject.com/Insider.aspx?msg=4891301#xx4891301xx[^] but no downvote...
(It not a problem for me, but may be a bug/change?)

It's part of a bug fix from a couple of days ago: Previously you couldn't mark messages as spam if the forum didn't allow downvoting. Marking a message as spam automatically adds a downvote (and hence was blocked). Fixed, and so the joy is now spreading.

Would you please make reply button on comment somewhat brighter?
I have seen too many comments which is getting no response because OP and some of the members are posting comment directly without using that button, hence no notification to intended recipient.

the sample Console application given in the API Documentation doesn't work? It was returning a 504: "Unknown Host" response with the baseUri http://testapi.codeproject.com/ . So I tried changing it to http://api.codeproject.com/ . And now it's giving a 404 response with the following trace:

Also, an https:// doesn't seem to be helping. Any suggestions?
PS: Also on related note, are we planning on having a separate forum for the API specific questions/discussions?
