Despite a week of testing something (probably something stupid and blindingly obvious - maybe something like they don't wor properly?) slipped through the cracks of our permalink system. We're fixing now.

The new friendly URL for forums and messages looks great But when a reply is posted, the posted message is not getting expanded when redirected to the forums page. Here is the steps to reproduce
1 - Click reply for any message
2 - Post the reply
3 - Page redirects to message list page, but the message posted recently is not expanded.

Probably the permalink issue.

Apparently, signing in as Oakmantest, signing out, and signing in as Oakman restored the functionality that was missing. Markup is working fine for me, once again.

Did you check your settings when posting a message? Specifically: "Do not interpret HTML tags (good for code snippets)

Yep. First thing I thought of.

Hi Chris,
When I click on an old message (under My Messages in my profile) it takes me to the first page of the forum that message was in rather than to the actual message.
Similarly, when I reply to a post, it doesn't leave me at the same position in the forum (ie: on the message I replied to) but takes me back to the first page of the forum.
Just thought you should know! (Of course, it might just be me!)

It isn't just you. The same thing is happening to me

It's the same thing with the search page. You are taken to the first page of the forum you are searching in, no matter what result you click.

Hi folks,
I know it says BETA in big letters on top, but the page views by day thingee is just showing a big red x (broken image link).
Any idea as to why?

At the very bottom of each page, just below the bottom ad and under the 'Last Updated' tag you will find the name of the server you are currently on (eg 'Web1'). Can you please let me know if you are consistently failing to see the graph, or if it's just on one server. We're unable to reproduce the problem.

I have never been able to get this to work. I just tested this, I am getting Web11, and Web12 today. Happens evertime. I use IE8 and VS2008 SP1, Expression Studio 2&3.
Here is a link to the broken link:

That link is working for me. You will need to be logged on, though, to view that link.

I would like to suggest to add a Qt language sections. It is becoming a new phenomenon and from observing different forums I think there are quite a lot of cute(Qt) programmers over there ready to join the code project

I've looked through a few pages here and don't see this reported, so hopefully it's not a dupe.
Within the past week or two, I periodically fire up CP (my shortcut link points directly to lounge.aspx) and as it's loading, it will redirect to Page Not Found. I'll hit the back button, and it'll typically happen a second time. After that, everything's groovy.
Wish I could give you better steps to reporduce, but that's all I gots.
Hope it's helpful.

It's possible it's an auxillery Ajax page that's being called from a different server and barfing. Probably during an update of the site (we did a ton of new updates last week).
Let me know if it happens this week.

What the...? That system was removed ages ago and has a big "don't even try using this code" sign on it. It was part of our ill-fated experiment in third party ad serving systems which resulted in us feeling like we wanted to scrub ourselves clean hourly for weeks. :shudder:
Any caching going on? Which browser?

IE8 for sure, but I also use 7 on some boxes as well as Firefox and I don't recall if it happened under others. However, even under IE8 it doesn't happen every time, which makes me wonder if it's somehow triggered by certain bits of dynamic content (ads, etc.).
If I can get any more hard data for you I'll pass it along. Oh, and the showers are down the hall...

Just deleted temporary internet files under IE8, shut down the browser, clicked the link, got the error. Anything else I can test for you?
