You seem to misunderstand why there is a privilege needed to vote spam or abuse. This ability used to be open to all but we found that there were cases where people were signing up shill accounts for the purpose of voting. The reason that a certain level is needed before voting is to put some barrier in place to prevent this behaviour. Or would you prefer we went back to a system where someone could sign up 20 or 30 times and voted against you?

The question I have to ask is why are you so bent out of shape about this? Ultimately, as these are only one offs, they have no real effect and rep points has no real relevance. I don't even bother looking up my rep any more it's so irrelevant. I have no idea what rep I have.

Eh? Those three links go to CodeProject messages that are rather daft eye roll type messages. If you're talking about his signature, there's no link to anything in there, so the message isn't spamming.

It's not just about rep points - if multiple abuse reports are submitted against you, your account can get automatically disabled. Probably not an issue for you since you are not using your real name, and can thus create another anonymous account similar to the one you have now.

AFAIU it works if multiple abuse votes get to my account (not my posts) from different sources. 100 Abuse reports from a single user would just bring my rep down of (his_weight * 100) points.
And if a post has less than 5 abuse reports it stays visible. Either someone kicks on 5 sock puppets and then forfeits all of his accounts to the banhammer or the damage is NIL.

I use my internet name (cured with the 88 suffix because 5 letters usernames are too short) since 2000, I'd feel bad abandoning it. For me it's as personal as my real name now.

only -16? If it weighted, I think that person does not have much report power. It kinda suck because they didn't give you a chance to defend or correct your mistake. Last time I posted a blog and someone  with very high report power down voted it, and that -40 points. Again it suck because I don't know what the issue was, and I don't have the opportunity to rectify it. Sometime I don't see how this down vote WITHOUT comment will help the community or the author/poster. At least give them a chance to fix the issue !!!
